What
is Vlogging: why vlog?
If you’re here, you might be curious to know
about the word VLOG and what it is all about. Well, now you have it, you are at
the right place.
Here we go.
In pronunciation do not mistake the word VLOG
for FLOG...Lol
Vlog is a derived
term of blog. Vlog Short for “video blogging,” Vlog: "Vlog" is video log for short and mostly refer to as a
form of visual content. The term "vlog" originally comes from blog.
Blogging is pure text based, you explain everything with text while Vlogging is
video blog where you use video to explain everything or mixture of video &
text sometimes. Blogs are usually more
popular but with YouTube available, people who are more interested in more
action than just reading words, they turn to vlogs. But in my opinion, Some
people prefer blogging because when you read their words it's truly from their
heart whereas when people are in front of the camera they tend to fake reality
and also more self-conscious about how they look and things like that, so their
vlogging material may turn out to be 80% acted out. But yet I would conclude
that the decision is yours to make based on what you want to achieve.
Visual content offers consumers a
simple way of accessing and understanding information, not to mention that it
usually allows companies to create a unique voice or personality that can
further attract masses and create engagement. In today’s modern era of
information technology, having a solid online presence has become critical to
reaching out to target audiences, creating engagement, and building a
reputation. And yes brands and companies are looking for such individuals to
help market their product and get it across, Users tend to share their video
experiences with others. As such, your content will likely be visualized by
more pairs of eyes if you deliver it in this form via social media-integrated
video platforms like YouTube. With content marketing trends changing in
2016, a lot of companies are now re-allocating budgets to other forms of
content including videos, which seem to acquire more popularity due to the huge
number of consumers using video distribution platforms like YouTube.
YouTube vlogs are no longer simply hobbies or
diversions. If you are serious about creating and marketing high-quality video posts
for your small business on a regular basis, then you could start making money
from the ads Google places on your videos. Building your vlog's reputation and
viewership to the level where you are making serious money from Google's
revenue sharing will take time. Starting down this path, however, is as simple
as creating a Google account for your YouTube vlog, creating an AdSense account
to handle your payments and uploading your first vlog post to YouTube.
In fact, there are loads of multi-millionaires,
both young and old, who are full-time video bloggers. Yes you
heard me multi-millionaires, People get confused to if they can actually
make money thru Vlogging. Yes, you can definitely earn
money through vlogging. You need to link Google adsense
account to your blog or youtube channel for that. Only thing which you should
be aware of is that you should not copy content from somewhere else on the
internet and add it to your blog or download someone's video and upload it to
your channel. All content in your blog or youtube channel should be created by
you. Also don't click on ads shown on your blog or youtube channel on your own
otherwise your Google adsense account will be disabled forever. We would
discuss further on How to Monetize Your Vlog later in this article.
